msscha
Somewhere on page two is a coral that looks like a dragon -- very cool. Love the macros of the fungia and the zoas -- in fact, I'm not a huge zoas fan, but those pics are sweet! The FTS is unexpected, too, I guess I don't remember it being tall. You need to add shelves... Link to comment
owlbassboy
Thanks guys, I'm hoping the sps and the gorg will fill the height for me in time hopefully getting a 20l pico soon which will be longer than it is tall and ill close down my 100l Link to comment
owlbassboy
Ok so swmbo is away out tonight so i took the chance of peace and gave the glass a good clean through the day for a photoshoot with my new iphone after being impressed with a few quick snaps since i got the phone. So down to business Here are 2 shots to show off my new vertex duplex Green acan Some different orange zoas Pink zoas and green and orange zoas Orange fungia Orange acan Green and red acan Duncans Green Star Polyps Green monti digi(bit of a reflection of something in the shot) Purple rimmed green monti Red plate monti Attempted top down shot but it zoomed in on the acan and not the digi (i couldnt see the shot as the phone was on the cover glass under the light unit and i was operating blind) And finally here is a FTS hope you enjoyed the shots Link to comment
x3thelast
great shots! i use a vertex simplex on my 1 gallon and duplex in my 4 as well! such clean little magnet scrappers Link to comment
owlbassboy
Thanks The vertex really gets into the corners unlike my old crappy mag Link to comment
msscha
Great pics -- that pink zoas is awesome. Love the fungia, too (I think I said that earlier )--looks so alien! Link to comment

brandon429
excellent shots, just noticed the valonia on the green and red acan if you'll lift him out and hit the sides with peroxide it w kill it and the spores if any the acan is not sensitive to peroxide so a light brushing on the side, wait 2 mins out of water, plus rinse will fix it. Acans do not mind emersion. I leave mine out of water for 15 mins at a time regularly so 2 mins is a cakewalk! Link to comment
owlbassboy
Thanks, I must give that a go although, there are a few other patches I could tackle too on the rock, I created the scape so I could lift it in one piece, it always breaks in 2 and needs glued back together though lol Link to comment
Weetabix7
I like the Green Acan and Orange Fungia. Link to comment

KeyboardWarrior
Ah man I've missed a ton of updates on this tank on both forums some how, it's looking awesome bud really like the fungia and them zoas are sweet too, only thing I'd think about is moving the gorg to the side? Link to comment

msscha
Still looking really nice -- how is the porcelain crab doing? They are such a lovely addition to a tank. Cute sexy, too. I have only two in my tank, and that seems to work. No problems with them chewing on coral. Link to comment
x3thelast
dude. Your tank is so packed! Haha I love my vertex duplex too man soooo much nicer than my last mag. your sps is growing very nicely great job! Link to comment
owlbassboy
Thanks I don't have a porcelain crab? I have a Pom Pom if that's what you mean. It's still very shy and lives under the rockwork at the back of the tank. Link to comment
x3thelast
I've got an emerald crab and a porcelain. They don't bother anything. Link to comment
owlbassboy
I'm considering removing the fungia and sand, adding one more acan maybe and a bit of purple plate monti then let it all grow Link to comment

owlbassboy
NSW is going really well, doing 100% changes several times a week, noticing growth on all corals including sps despite initial tests of the water measuring only 330ppm ca. Anyway I know you are only here for the pics And finally a fts from last night because I forgot to snap one when taking these shots lol Oh and I'm thinking about hitting some algae with hydrogen peroxide soon Link to comment
