siwelk
Nice. I was pretty sure you had thought of that. I've just got to be diligent about making sure it doesn't overflow. I plan to make about 5g of an evening, while I'm home, so it should be Link to comment
JoelRHale
You could also use a JBJ ato set up/whatever ato you buy and rig it upside down and plug a buzzer into the pump outlet. Link to comment
civickm
Yeah, there's one or two in Indiana I believe. Franchise (o)(o)s hahaha nice Link to comment
JoelRHale
I mean, you spent $150 on test kits, what's another $70 on an ato? Link to comment
siwelk
I mean, you spent $150 on test kits, what's another $70 on an ato? I was looking @ the Avast ATO. I think it'll be fine since I'll be within a 800ft2 area at all times. I'd like to get it down to knowing how long it takes to make 4g. Then I'll set the kitchen timer. Link to comment
JoelRHale
That works too. What about the avast do you like? I saw you commenting on a thread about it. But since I have the JBJ and am pleased with it I didn't really read it all. Link to comment

I'm trying to minimize the amount of Chinese equipment I'm buying/using. I've got a good mix of Italian, German and American ingenuity at the moment. I'm not sure where the JBJ ATO is made but I'm pretty sure their NC stock pumps are MIC. Link to comment
JoelRHale
Ah, well if it makes my purchase better, I bought it from BRS. What controller are you looking at? My expenditures for reef equipment is about to dry up with law school but I'm really looking at the Apex so I can control it with my phone. Link to comment

I'm thinking about piecing together an Apex. A base module and an EB8 to start with. I really don't want the display at all. I'll probably want to add a WXM down the line also. Link to comment
JoelRHale
I just want to pay a midget to live in my stand and just keep tabs on it and contact me via walkie talkie any time something was wrong. Man, that'd be sweet. Link to comment
