siwelk
I went with a cheap test kit and have it.Time to pony up to the Saliferts. They have a low-range set of instructions as well. It lets you divide the card by 10, although I haven't tried this method yet. Link to comment
JoelRHale
Do you think your tank will be filled by reefstock? Not ready to put stuff in but at least full of water? Link to comment
siwelk
Drill baby drill! Good luck drilling. I've never done it but just be sure to take your time and go slow. God knows how long it will take to rebuild the momentum of this build if you break a tank. you'll do fine. Hopefully he will reach out to me when he is ready to drill so I can supervise....lol Link to comment

siwelk
Looks like a solid cut. Good job. How long did it take you? It wasn't bad at all. Low and slow is the way to go. I think it took maybe 15 minutes for the first hole. A little longer on the larger hole, an hour overall. I'd drill until it got really cloudy. Change the water and go again. Link to comment

siwelk
Thanks for the info. I'm definitely drilling my next tank so I'm squirreling away info. No problem. For the record, this is my first tank drilling. Go big or go home IMO. It went exceptionally well, and I now feel like I could drill standard tanks in my sleep. In the above picture, I promise I'm not putting any weight on the drill/tank. I'm trying to square my body over the hole. I just realized how that appears. Link to comment
