He is more pink now but still very strange coloration for a midas blenny..... Brains wanted food. Hungry Ricordea Acans I am loving being able to get good top downs now! Just awesome! Red Planet See the crab? Jose's Candlelight Bet you see her now Or now! Karl's Candlelight Litho Brains eating NOM NOM Zoas Enchanta Yumas and Rics. So yeah I am loving the Radions and taking pics with the LEDs' is like 10,000x easier. Top downs! WOW the planet really looks like that when I'm looking down into the tank. Just amazing. I am running then about 20-24" above the water and running at 40% set to ramp to 60% I believe.... over the course of 4 weeks. Today is the first full day under them and man oh man everything is looking amazing so far. I will keep you guys and gals posted and thanks for looking! Link to comment
FlowerMama
Wow, that zoa pic is crazy. That would make one awesome jigsaw puzzle. And the brain and the echinata look fantastic. I think the leds are bringing out more detail, color, etc. And you won't have to change 1 bulb every 4 mos!!!! Link to comment

BTW that looks to be a blue midas blenny...had one a few years back Thanks coming from you wow! I am flattered! The Red Planet was my utter fave to photograph. I have some algae ..... but overall the colors are awesome and the corals look happy so meh. Thanks for the info on the midas! Good to know he has the gold head and tail but the rest is like a purply blueish color. Thanks again for the compliment! I am loving the LEDs' and the ability to get these shots they gave me. I used to only change once a year with the T5's but was getting ready to have to as I noticed some loss in color in the SPS right before the change over. But man this is awesome! Thanks Annette! Just amazing. Dont worry about the little bit of algae the overall health of the tank is whats important and everything looks fantastic I agree with you about the LEDs they make picture taking so much easier since you can just crank up the intensity to get more of the light needed for photographs. sometimes the color morphs make it a bit tougher to distinguish but yours has much more blue/purple than gold. Heres a shot of the one i used to have Link to comment

Heres a shot of the one i used to have Thanks makes me feel better I mean I had to up the feeding as my larger clams passed due to low nutrients and once I upped the feeding this little blue squamosa had been awesome. Then the algae showed up! Haha oh well as long as I keep it trimmed and thinned out I should be okay. That is almost exactly what he looks like thanks def a blue Midas. Link to comment
jedimasterben
Just remember that there are no wild reefs without algae (and corals couldn't live where they do if not for algae), so don't stress out over it. Link to comment

Yeah and the swollen feet! I've got them 24" above the water and at 40% they have an auto acclimat option that will gradually up the intensity per the next 4 weeks to 60-70% depending on what the corals tell me they like. Just a watching game right now. Link to comment
