FLNanoReefer
I need help! I found some red slime algae on the back wall of my tank. I don't want it to grow anymore. What should I do? OPTION 1: Wait until the weekend and do a 10 gallon water change while siphoning it out and clean all the equipment (filter, skimmer and box, power heads, etc.) I also ordered some new stuff like lights bulbs (the ones I have now are 2+ years old), a new unit of Chemi-Pure Elite, Purigen, a heater, etc. I can install all of that stuff and do a massive clean up day. OR OPTION 2: I can use some of my Ultra Life Red Slime Remover that I have. I don't like using chemicals if they aren't necessary, bit I will if I need to. What do you guys thing the best plan of attack would be? I just don't want it to get out of hand. Thanks for your input! Link to comment
Blue Demp
What I did was: 1. Reduce my photoperiod 2. Increase the low in my tan 3. Give it time It eventually just disappeared. Link to comment
