Thunderstruck34 Posted October 20, 2009 Share Posted October 20, 2009 things to watch for 1) pryamid snails around mantle edges and foot (check at night after the lights have been off for awhile) 2) gaping (intake siphon stretching to edges of shell) 3) bleaching 4) stretching out (to get more light) 5) reaction to movement (healthy clam should be very reactive to changes in light/shadow) 6) new shell growth (healthy clam should also have white layer of new shell growing) can't think of anymore offhand but keep an eye on your params Link to comment
