Evan, My advice to you is to go out and buy the book 'Giant Clams' by Daniel Knop and read it from cover to cover. It contains everything you want to know about Tridacnid clams from their identification to their care in the aquarium. Your question is a little too general to be answered in this thread so just read read read. happy reading :):)

evan, you keep trying to fit things around your frogfish. not many things are going to co-exist with that beast. you might be better off to just start another tank.

clams take bright light (and expensive). not really an expense that you want for a frogfish tank. in the money you spend for clam lighting you could almost buy a decent low-light invert tank.

frog fishes can be kept with anything as big as themselves or bigger. by this I mean thickness wise. a thinner fish like a goby will have to be twice as long and pretty thick. The only problem I see with a clam is the fish might perch on it.
