He's planning on upgrading soon. Don't worry he knows what he's doing. i will be upgrading but soon.come by some other day and visit my tank ,marteen! Link to comment

m'akoyPINOY Posted August 16, 2009 Author Share Posted August 16, 2009 sunday reef news! so i bought a blue linkia starfish 2 weeks ago and it was fine roaming around my galss tank for 2 days.then suddenly stop moving around, saw today in my tank corner 1/4 of the tentacle looks like someone is nibbling on it!!! who could it be???? Sahin Posted August 17, 2009 Share Posted August 17, 2009 Did you see something nibbling on the linkia or did you mean something had already eaten parts of the linkia? I had a brittle starfish years ago and for some reason (cant remember) my nitrates were quite high. This caused the starfish to lose one leg and the rest of it looked like it had been bitten etc. In fact the bad water quality was the cause. Starfish are quite particular about water quality from my experiance. Once my water quality improved the starfish got better. I target fed him frozen food which had been dipped in various liquid food (forgot what) to boost his food. Once a few weeks he grew the lost leg and the eaten looking parts of him became smooth again. If your water parameters are all fine then I'm not sure. DO you have any bad crabs or perhaps a nasty worm type creature? Link to comment
