melfy
well I've finally decided to get one of those lovely clams. I want and will post pictures as soon as I get have a camera that is working lol. The clam was purchased yesterday and is 3''. I've put it on a rock so I could admire it, but mister clam decided that he did no want to be seen and did something like a 90 degrees rotation, so I can see only half of its mantle. It was like this only a few hours after I've put it in the tank and hasn't moved since. My guess is that I should leave it alone and wait until it attaches to the rock? It's responding very well to shadow and light changes. Its mantle seems to be well opened during the day, but how ''large'' should it be? I've that too much is not good, but would you have some kind if picture to show whether the clam is opened ''too much'' or not. Ca=450 alk=4meq/L NO2=0 NO3=0 Temp=80-81 salinity=1024 lighting: aquactinics 24'' 5X24W This is my first clam (and boy does it look gorgeous) and I want to make sure that it's doing well Link to comment
