121a
It has a little fuzzy thing on the bottem of it and it is not responding to motion. Is it dead? It was under a 250w MH bulb and the water is fine, what is wrong with it? Link to comment

121a
no, i'll try tho. any ideas would be great. He was in a container in my 75g with the water being dumped and re filled every 3 days. If he was out in the open my lunar wrasse would eat him. Link to comment
shiveley
the "fuzzy" things on the bottom are probably just segments of the threads that the clam uses to attach to substrate/rocks. Link to comment
121a
why is it not responding to me touching it then? Link to comment
shiveley
the touching thing is worrisome. both of my clams close up as soon as they sense a shadow, so touching should definitely warrant a response. doesn't sound good. Link to comment
MDeth
Are you touching the mantle? If you do, he SHOULD close up. If not hes probably on his way out if not dead already. You'd know if he was DEAD though, the mantle would fall off the shell Link to comment
121a
Ok thanks, he is dead then. R.I.P. he would have looked great in my new tank. Link to comment
