New Croceas

Picked these two beauties up from my LFS, $38.99 for the 3-4 inch one (first pic) and $36 for the 2-3 inch one (second pic).

 

 

 

I know croceas don't like sand, so I have them sitting on top of a flat piece of rock.

 

I think I will order a small Maxima, I want something vibrant, like a tear drop or a zebra stripe.

I had my croceas on the sand. Do you think that is what killed it? Everything else is doing great.

I have had two other croceas in the past, in the sand, both are dead.

 

My other clam, a Maxima, is in the sand and has been doing great for 9 months.

if only they were that cheap over here. a small clam runs about 50 here and it can go as much as 100 for one.

Croceas prefer to be on rocks. But Ive never herd of them dieing because they are in the sand. I have seen croceas do very well in the sand.

Geez, I can get them about 5 inches long for about 29-30 bucks here in Houston (If I wanted one at this point)

well small one 1 1/2 or 2 1/2 bout $30

3 or 4 bout $50 5 and 6 bout $70

any thing biger than 6 inches is in the triples

lfs had one that was a foot and it went in 1 day 10 min later 3 people ran i have the money but it was to late
