I'm gonna take a trip out to Vivid Aquariums tomorrow and see what they've got and then go the online route. I picked up a few nice pieces from the past but it seems all the good rock ends up in their (f'n amazing) displays! Link to comment

simplenough
ok the outside of the tank will be 12"long 12" wide 9" tall making the display 9x9x12 yup. Link to comment
nosser
If i remember correctly the main display will be 12"x12"x9" since the back will be sectioned of at 3" with a false wall, with space for a heater, chaeto, etc. and it will have a hole for a pump (sized for a mj 900) this was from from the GB link I was under the understanding that it was a 12" cube with 3" of the back was the for filtration.. lajz9
Vivid has sexies for 9.99Are you going to go with any fish? and what are you planning as far as coral? Yeah, i'll definitely be getting them from Vivid, will give me a reason to go stare at their tanks for a while. At this point I'm going to say no fish, but that could very easily change if I find something I really like. Still undecided on corals, I've got a few ideas but nothing solid at this point. lajz9
Still can't make a damn decision on what I want direction I want to take the tank... Now considering going with mostly acans with a few zoas/palys mixed in and maybe a few easy SPS at the very top. Harlequin shrimp and maybe some sexies for decoration, no fish. Does anyone think the JBJ 70W w/ XM 20K bulb would be too much light for mostly acans? In my 40g most of my acans are in the bottom half of the tank but this will be over 10w/gallon. Link to comment

I think we will be good as long as dont lower the light to close to the water. Its amazing how hot these vipers get. Link to comment
