metrokat
/facepalm The question came up in another thread as to how everything fit into the rear chamber of this tank. Here are a few pics to show along with measurements and details of setup. Spec V total dimensions : 17.2 "L x 6.3"W x 10.6"T Spec iii total dimensions : 10.8"L (front/back) x 8.7"W x 11.8"T Pump side Chamber Measurements : 3.5"wide x 2" front to back x ~12" tall emergency float to prevent overfill attached to lid magnetic tube holder w/ main float at lower right mini-jet 606 sits below main float , and heater sits toward the center of the chamber just below dosing lines. water level stays at the 8" mark which keeps the pump and heater submerged very well. There is about .75" between dosing line output, and surface of water in the chamber. Water would get to the 9.5" mark before emergency float shut off the ATO (aqualifter). SHORT ANWSER : MAGIC Can you list the parts and where you got them? Link to comment
Chaozu
How will your emergency float prevent overfill when it's above the lid? Link to comment

kmrotterdam
Beautiful aquascaping. I find it difficult to create anything really creative or particularly original in cubes tanks, some many people just end up stacking rocks in a mound. Link to comment
metrokat
Thanks. Now can you list the steps to install the float switch? Also why is it a float switch to prevent overfill, why not a float switch to add top off? Also, what are you using for an ATO pump? Link to comment

Also why is it a float switch to prevent overfill, why not a float switch to add top off? Also, what are you using for an ATO pump? It has 2 floats . One to fill , and one emergency shut off if things go crazy . Using an auqalifter for the pump Link to comment
metrokat
Diagram? Pictures? I'm sorry this is all alien to me. How does the overfill switch work - it kills the pump - how? I'm only used to the JBJ ATO - the float switches connect to a controller. Do you have a controller? Link to comment
