ZephNYC
Is that pre or post divorce??? That's pretty much what it looks like today. Ive been putting all my $ into the other tanks and just letting that one ride for a little while. She is NOT NOT NOT getting my clam !!!! Over my dead body. I am still waiting for an itemized list of the value of my fish room, we were in court just yesterday and the inspector says he needs more time. I am DYING to see this list and the value he places on my stock. You can be sure I will post it. I should have it by the next court date, July 30. I like the clamp keeping the tank together. That clam makes the tank look tiny. Need to get yourself a 1000 gal for that mammoth. Great minds think alike. If I decide to remain in this building, I'm thinking of building a 1000G, cinder block based tank in the basement. I can dream cant I ???? Link to comment
afyounie
If you do get to build that tank, you definitely have to document the entire build. Too bad you don't live in FL. You could build an even bigger cinder block tank outside and give the clam direct sunlight. Probably would need to add a cover to help with mid day heat and such. Link to comment
ZephNYC
I do have a 20x20 sq. foot patio of the back of one of my fish rooms that I've long fantasized as an aquaculture greenhouse. All I have to do is win the lottery. Link to comment
Mr. Microscope
Dang Zeph! How long/heavy is that? Link to comment
ZephNYC
Dang Zeph! How long/heavy is that? 32" and growing faster than ever. It literally outgrew the 125 I raised it in and was hitting both front and rear panels. I never put it on a scale, but when I moved it into the 210 several months ago, it felt about 150 pounds. I'm a pretty good judge of weight seeing as I'm a personal trainer. I've had it for 8 years. A few nights ago a fed it some oyster feast and coughed and shot out a clownfish that pretty much lives deep inside it. Lol! Link to comment
jedimaster1138
I've seen this clam in person, and I can say that she is DRAMATICALLY bigger than she appears in the pictures. Bertha is a huge, huge clammy. And gorgeous. Link to comment

jedimaster1138
Shedd Aquarium in Chicago has a VERY large T. Gigas in the basement reef. There's a few tangs in that tank which could easily swim in its mouth. Link to comment
