30 Gallon Hex Day 1

Day 1 of the new saltwater aquarium. Over the next 6 months I will be adding more live rock, a cleanup crew, either a Blenny or a Goby, then some anemone (preferably Bubble anemone because I hear Clown fish can host them) and finally a pair of Clown fish. I'm working with a 96 watt h-5 fixture but I have a Kessil a150w Sky Blue light coming in the mail. I have a canister filter for the filtration and 2 power heads to keep the water moving. There is also a hang on filter that I'm using to keep the water surface moving (I hope to get an upgrade or a skimmer, I'm still debating the best move). I also have a heater inside the tank keeping it at 78 degrees.

If you are going to get a blenny or goby make sure you get a top for the tank. They are very good jumpers and it took me a lost goby to understand that.

I was thinking about building an acylic wall to put on the top instead of just a top. I have that Kessil a150w hanging from the ceiling and I don't want it to have to fight through glass too. With my experience it's pretty hard to keep it clear enough for the light to not be diminished. I've never tried to do anything with acylic, so I'm not sure how hard that would be.
