i'm pretty sure that the leaves of the mangroves should be above water. They aparently expell the salt that the roots absorb.

those mangrove leaves need to be OUT of the water, they expel the nutrients through their leaves

and the tank itself looks pretty dirty...

Hate to bring it up but that tank looks a little small for an anthias if that's what the orange fish is

actually mangroves grow completely fine despite being completely submerged. ive seen it done.
