el fabuloso Posted October 29, 2008 That's gross, I can smell it just by looking at the photo! :gag: When was the last time you cleaned it? Quote Link to comment

StevieT Posted October 30, 2008 It is 13 months old. Never cleaned it since after the coralline grew over it was going to be a PIA Quote Link to comment
StevieT Posted October 30, 2008 I keep this pump on when feeding to dispurse it to all corals, I do not feed too much. Quote Link to comment
chazde3 Posted October 30, 2008 I'd have to agree that it's because your water isn't wet enough. Quote Link to comment
JKUNZ Posted October 30, 2008 Mine looks the same when I clean it.....just the way they are. One of the reasons I just ordered a tunze nanostream. It's not from overfeeding, they just act like traps to anything and everything and overtime it builds up. Quote Link to comment
liveclown Posted October 30, 2008 hahaa, hah-ha-ha-hahaha uuuuhm. Wow. Is that a powerhead? Quote Link to comment
StevieT Posted October 30, 2008 oh yeah, and the new one is frickin awesome! I should have done it sooner. This thing got clogged up fast after I started feeding differently, letting it run while the food was flying around to the corals. I suppose I should clean the new one more often, but we'll see if that ever gets done. Quote Link to comment
Nick's Reef Posted October 30, 2008 I clean mine about once a month, but yeah, mine looks nasty, right now I need to clean it, it's got filterfloss and macro suock to it. With a nice assortment of algae growing on it. Quote Link to comment
lilredneckman Posted October 31, 2008 meh i havent cleaned the inside of mine yet...just the outside! Quote Link to comment
MitchReef Posted October 31, 2008 You feed too much.....and if you want a second opinion, you dress funny too..... Quote Link to comment
havoc519 Posted October 31, 2008 I clean mine every 2 months. It never has looked that bad. Clearly i am doing something wrong. Maybe i need more fish. Perhaps a tang or 2. Quote Link to comment
TheSaltCreep Posted October 31, 2008 you feed to much, way to much, and your water is dry to. Quote Link to comment
tcobos Posted October 31, 2008 Well looking at it from another perspective- When you feed to much, it makes your water not wet enough! perspectively speaking:) Quote Link to comment
