neuwave Posted September 18, 2008 Nature Aquarium. nice Amano style. Makes me wanna set up my freshwater again. Quote Link to comment
Diatome Posted September 18, 2008 Considering Amano has the press around when he feeds his fish, they must be even more amazing in person. http://glassbox-design.com/2008/takashi-amano-creations/ Wait till he starts doing reefs. We will all empty our aquariums and raise geckos. Quote Link to comment
neuwave Posted September 18, 2008 He already does reefs. lol He has 2 reef setups at his shop. They look good but nothing like his freshwater. Quote Link to comment
burtbollinger Posted September 18, 2008 amano style? im darn sure this is an amano tank. Quote Link to comment
Diatome Posted September 18, 2008 "They look good but nothing like his freshwater." So much easier to stick full grown plants in an aquarium and it look good with 40% water changes a week. Reefing is a challenge. Let's see him grow a monti on an Easter Island head. That is talent. Quote Link to comment
brian92 Posted September 18, 2008 Reefs and Planted tanks are incomparable. I've found planted tanks to be more subtle while a reef has a lot more colors and things going on. I don't think 1 is better than the other. Quote Link to comment
b_c_fisher Posted September 18, 2008 To tell ya Planted tanks like Takashi's are soothing as a reef is truly a site to behold. Ones for relaxing and ones for just watching and dropping your jaw. Quote Link to comment
Capelaundry Posted September 19, 2008 Dude!!!....I'm not a fresh water fan at all, but man!!! That is a beautiful aqua-scape and just easy to stare at....very "f"ing cool. Quote Link to comment
Yurei Posted September 19, 2008 This is definitely a tank done by Takashi Amano himself. I have a calendar of his work and I took this one and tore it out and now it's hanging near my bed. Quote Link to comment
moonlightxpress825 Posted September 19, 2008 yes i love his work..he has a great feel for aesthetics..but i always tell my friend who has four planted tanks: dude, you are just growing plants, but i am doing a small scale reef, its more technical.. Quote Link to comment
