He already does reefs. lol He has 2 reef setups at his shop. They look good but nothing like his freshwater.

"They look good but nothing like his freshwater." So much easier to stick full grown plants in an aquarium and it look good with 40% water changes a week. Reefing is a challenge. Let's see him grow a monti on an Easter Island head. That is talent.

Reefs and Planted tanks are incomparable. I've found planted tanks to be more subtle while a reef has a lot more colors and things going on. I don't think 1 is better than the other.

To tell ya Planted tanks like Takashi's are soothing as a reef is truly a site to behold. Ones for relaxing and ones for just watching and dropping your jaw.

Dude!!!....I'm not a fresh water fan at all, but man!!! That is a beautiful aqua-scape and just easy to stare at....very "f"ing cool.

This is definitely a tank done by Takashi Amano himself. I have a calendar of his work and I took this one and tore it out and now it's hanging near my bed.

yes i love his work..he has a great feel for aesthetics..but i always tell my friend who has four planted tanks: dude, you are just growing plants, but i am doing a small scale reef, its more technical..
