Requires proper light, most would say MH lights are required. Stable water parameters, maintaining the calcium at 400+. Small clams can require direct feeding as they are not able to produce enough photsynthetically. I feed DT's every other day - this calm is about 2-3" across. Still fairly small.

So what kind of lighting are you using?

Using a 150W HQI Pendant. The Bulb is a 20,000K XM bulb. Feed DT's phyto. Clam is doing fine !
