MiKeE Posted March 12, 2003 Share Posted March 12, 2003 I have decided to take on a new project to replace my old minibow.. now i cant give it all out...without playing the tank tease game... so i will do this slowly...come back for updates upcomming mods & pictures custom acrylic sump/refugium custom overflow box pvc plumbing queen turbo skimmer iceprobe chiller floatswitch 32 watt PC or normal output ( i cant decide ) custom light pendant... (150 watt HQI with maybe a 32watt PC ) & more here's the first Link to comment

I've had mine running fer like 5 + years. Its a Sherman-tank fer sure. you paid like what 30.00 or less fer that right? if not, you got ripped. I have them fer 25.00 Seal the stand. the salt creep and water will ruin it if you dont. Pick up Sherwin-Williams SPAR at home depot. it is made for boats as a clear wood sealer. Link to comment

reefriot Posted March 15, 2003 Share Posted March 15, 2003 does that homade venturi on the mag work? nice looking sump, i just added a 150w 20k HQI to my minibow and was afraid of the heat but theres no problems with it about 6-7" above the tank. so the iceprobe is not needed but is a nice addtition. also trying to figure out how your overflow box is goint to work unless your drilling the minibow. lookin good!
