Nuhtty
I am designing a NC 12 with a 15g sump. I was also considering running in a 2.5g or smaller pico tank to sit next to the nanocube on a custom stand. I think it would look interesting. I was thinking of having it drilled at the bottom and run overflow and returns through the top of the stand. Anyone have a similar type setup where a pico is plumbed into a larger system? I would be interested in seeing pics or schematics. thanks Link to comment

Nuhtty
Good timing The penthouse tank Here is my design that I have been playing with. I have been thining about a Mag 1.5 or 1.9 (somewhere between 60gph and 150gph) as the pump to the Pico tank. Not sure how much flow I want to have in such a small tank. It will have that return to the refugium section of the sump, thereby causing more agitation and a better "rolling" motion for the chaeto that will be in there. In the past I had a small powerhead accomplish this, but I feel the return from the pico will have the same effect. There will be gate valves on every line so that I can control the water movement more precisely and maintain the height of the water in each compartment. Total water volume of the system will be around 30 gallons. Any thoughts? Link to comment
Wiggawam
I have one cycling before I hook it up into my main system. I'm using the cap from an old fluval I had lying around to provide circulation. Link to comment
