Nednai
I was thinking about getting the camera with the lense kit, should I waste the extra money or is the 18-55 crap? For the nominal price of the kit lens, get it. It’s good to have a cheap lens to use in situations that you normally wouldn’t want to risk using an L series lens. Link to comment
reefin300
I was thinking along the same lines here... to save a few bucks I might as well get a lense that I could use in the "field" so to speak right? Link to comment
Nednai
You might find this interesting if you haven’t already made your purchase. From http://www.dpreview.com/news/0512/05122001zeisslenses.asp Carl Zeiss have gone all mysterious in their placement of a message on their home page, it reads "Millions of SLR Photographers Will Soon Discover a New Dimension in Photography." At the moment we have no idea what this means, speculation on our forums and elsewhere ranges from a new Zeiss digital system (Sony?) to Zeiss lenses for Canon / Nikon mounts (a leaked image shows Nikon F-Mount Zeiss lenses). More information (according to the page) will be available tomorrow. UPDATE: More and more leaked information points to Nikon F-mount CZ lenses. Link to comment
