Samc
I told myself the same thing when I built my regent-"I know I'm going to need more light down the road". Thats why I decided once I had a few softies under my belt (I have 7 years saltwater fish keeping, started when I was 8 with a 29g like I have now) I could just add another 150 watter to the system. That gives me more light, for me a cost $50 higher than a single 250 watter (thats for the second bulb), and the backup so when one bulb/ballast craps out I don't loose several hundred in corals/clams etc. I would think of buying a second 150 watter if you can't get a good price or trade. 10" Red Devil
I am in your same boat. I want to trade my Aquamedic 150 ocean light up for a 250. I had a lot of advice to get the 150, but im not seeing very good growth rates with the 150. Link to comment
