I got off my lazy keester finally and installed the one from nanocustoms. It works great; I throw away a huge ball of cheato every week when I clean my tank, and it grows back. I guess this means that there must be nitrates available to fuel this growth. I'm just glad they are going into the trash in the form of the cheato instead of staying in my tank. I would recommend this setup. I know it's a bit of a front end time investment, but after that, I don't even think about it. I leave mine on all the time, and it works as a moon light at night.

why not give away some of that chaeto to local reefers since you're throwing away some good stuff?
