Pili4444 Posted January 9, 2005 Share Posted January 9, 2005 I moved the frogspawn to an area where there is less flow, i think that may have been the problem although it has never really been as full as it was in the LFS' tank. I am also waiting on some test kits to see if there is a problem there. BTW: that picture was taken after a water change so i think it had retracted a little but the tenticles still seem kinda floppy, not full. Link to comment
Brokken Posted January 9, 2005 Share Posted January 9, 2005 Some LFS have a few tricks to get corals to look full and expanded. For example: there's a store here in the SF bay uses weak actinics to make the corals look nice and flourescent and also light starve the coral, therefore forcing it to open up in order to get the light it needs. It's a bad practice, but one that is used sometimes in order to make their stock look appealing. Link to comment
