duganderson
I just saw this tank for sale on Amazon for $69. https://www.amazon.com/MagTool-Premium-Reef-Aquarium-LED/dp/B0CKL3GJ8H/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1EQF51BA1GM9W&keywords=MagTool+0.7&qid=1705077420&sprefix=magtool+0.7%2Caps%2C115&sr=8-1&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.18ed3cb5-28d5-4975-8bc7-93deae8f9840 What is realistic to live in here other than coral? A couple sexy shrimp? Very small clown Goby and move it when it gets bigger? I'm assuming you'd need to add a heater. I saw this one which I think could work? https://www.amazon.com/AquaMiracle-Adjustable-Aquarium-Submersible-Thermostat/dp/B0B55X425X/ref=asc_df_B0B55X425X/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=598235986710&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=5064391628988236829&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9019545&hvtargid=pla-1805050725065&mcid=d69a6c6a6b5335a3b68683eb5e2e9b2d&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIn63046TYgwMVimFHAR0lCQkqEAQYASABEgJL__D_BwE&th=1 What coral or macro algae would increase the success positivities of this? Dragons Breath or Red Grape Macro Algae? 1 Quote Link to comment
The Rainy Day Aquarium
These tiny tanks are possible to keep, and can be fun, although they can be tricky and are more of a novelty. I've built and kept several over the years. Water changes are your best friend. I wouldn’t keep any kind of fish in these. Just too small. I’ve kept crabs/shrimp/misc tiny inverts in mine, but I’ve really just focused on a few show piece corals. I’ve also kept dragons breath in one of mine with a lot of success. 1 Quote Link to comment
The Rainy Day Aquarium
This is a small .6 gallon pico that I had on my office desk a while ago. 2 Quote Link to comment
braaap
It would work for sure. But this one is better. Excellent quality products. https://www.pnw-custom.com/product-page/mini-reef-ready-tank 1 Quote Link to comment
natalia_la_loca
If you decide to get the tank, i’d check the temp with the lights on and the pump running, as those things might be enough to warm the water without adding a heater. If you did need a heater, that betta heater should be fine, but i’d pair it with an Inkbird temperature controller because those mini heaters always have poor quality thermostats or none at all and are there’s a solid chance it will cook your livestock. 1 Quote Link to comment
Tired
Looks like a knockoff version of those PNW minis. Second the recommendation for an Inkbird. IMO, every heater should be plugged into a backup controller, even the really good ones. That extra point of failure standing between potential heater malfunctions and your tank getting cooked is always a good thing. Do not put a fish in there, even a tiny baby. Sexy shrimp might be alright, though I'd wait awhile and make sure you can keep it stable before adding them. 2 Quote Link to comment
