Aqua Splendor
Hello, I was wondering if you guys had some suggestions for cutting coral underwater when the cutter won't work? Something electric like a Dremel that goes under salt water. Something that is flexible and small so we can go inside of colony of acropora/stylophora for exemple. Quote Link to comment
braaap
I can't imagine a time when a side cutter won't cut through an acro. There isn't an underwater dremel that will do the task. Do they make them? Yes. But far too large. Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
I've had plenty of acro branches too thick for cutters...they just get crushed. I agree that a tool like this would be nice, but don't know of one. I've wondered about using a Dremel Flex Shaft attachment....it would get the electronics out of the water, but that's it.... ...I suspect it wouldn't last more than a few uses before it rusted. $35/ea isn't the world, but it's not quite a disposable tool either. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Aqua Splendor
Yeah I had this in mind but like you said, won't last. Quote Link to comment
