TheKleinReef
HALLO I decided to make a thread for my FW tank. HISTORY: 2017: Original set up was a 5G fluval sepc, the spec sucks in literally every way shape and form, so I upgraded to a 10G with a fluval C2 and radion xr15. Big success. 2019: I got surgery and moved, then set up a 20G long. Loved the tank size, hated the dimensions. 2021: Upgraded to a 18" cube and have had that tank since. Here is where I will put pictures if I can find them and have the energy to put them. DEEETAILS TANKING: 18x18x18 25G Mr. Aqua Cube (low Iron Version) HEATING: IM Helios 100W FILTERING: Seachem Tidal 55 LIGHTING: Ecotech Radion xr15 FW G4 SUBSTRATING: Aquaforest topped with fine sand ROCKING: River rock CURRENT LIVESTOCK 8 Cardinal Tetras 4 Speckled Cory Cats (I had 8 but I bought the group a long time ago, I need to add more) 4 Zebra Danios 2 Random ass yellow tetras 1 Zebra Pleco FULL TANK SHOTS: August 2023 3 Quote Link to comment

Your tank looks great. that's my least favoriute thing about fw. you need soooooooo many plants to outcompete algae, and you have to balance light and fertilizer right. Ottocinclus catfish are like the best algae eaters though for sure. 1 hour ago, Lebowski_ said: Looking good! I couldn’t really figure out the right ratio of co2, light and fertilizer ling term. It looked like this for maybe a few weeks before it just didn’t work out. 5 Quote Link to comment

I seriously think planted tanks are harder than sw. But wow that tank is gorgeous. 5 hours ago, banasophia said: Nice! Did you get the zebra pleco? Can't wait to see pics!! I was wondering if they hide all the time... when I saw them at Aquashella they seemed very shy... do you know if they usually come out more once they've adjusted to their new home? I'm hoping as the plants grow more, he'll move around a it more. I make sure to toss in some thawed bloodworms every night just in case he is more active at night and searching for food. He's super pretty, just very very shy. 1 Quote Link to comment
