Lebowski_
I was planning to use a PAR38 Tuna Blue for my pico reef jar, but I can't seem to find one cheaper than $80 CAD. Looking for other suggestions from our veteran group of reef bowlers! Quote Link to comment
natalia_la_loca
I’m probably way out of touch on this, but i think of par38 as the cheapest of the cheap. if price is a key criterion, i would imagine par38 is your best bet unless you can find a no-name generic light on amazon or alibaba or something. If you’re willing to spend more, the options open up considerably. AI Prime is popular and I think Nicrew makes one that would fit too, but I only have personal experience with par38. Lights like these range around US$30 on eBay: If you're handy at all, driverless chips like these (similar to the chip that drives the light linked above) are easy to wire up – just need a heatsink and related sundries: 2 Quote Link to comment
