Laconic
Here is my first tank build. It is in my home office. It will primarily be a Zoa and Ricordia Garden. I have 2 Super Storms I picked up from Top Shelf Aquatics. I started off with the Kessil a80 but switched to the AI blade and love it. I attached all the equipment to one side and then assembled the stand. I still have to measure the PAR and place all the coral from Reef A Palooza. drdrew
Hi i am setting up a 5 gallon cube right now cycling and bought the 12 inch AI blade coral grow and have it mounted right on the tank (though i also have available the height extenders like you have just havent added them yet...not sure if i want to. anyway my question is in regard to your experience so far with your frag plugs up high... have you needed to dial back the blade from 100% settings for those corals to thrive or are you using it full power? i dont havea PAR meter so im just trying to get a jump off point for my light settings i dont want to over or under illuminate. right now i have it set as a 12 hour lights on with a 3 hour ramp on either end so about 6 hrs at peak lighting. my peak is set at 100% however and im worried this may be too much for softies? anyway f you could share your successful settings id be grateful thanks. I'm not OP but over a 5g cube 100% is def too much. start low and ramp it up. OP, looks like this is gonna be a sick little tank. Can't wait to see more. Quote Link to comment
