Dr. Brent
For those who have or have kept photosynthetic gorgonians can anyone recommend some species or varieties that seem to do well in a nano tank? I would love to add a few but have little experience in selecting varieties that are reliably hardy. Quote Link to comment
The Rainy Day Aquarium
Purple Plume and Ribbon gorgonians are two of my favorites and do well. Spiny Orange gorgonians are also pretty hardy in my experience. KP Aquatics is where I usually get mine as they seem to have the best prices and are always high quality. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
growsomething
Silver brush up front, purple candalabra in the back have grown the best for me. I like kp and also gulf coast ecosystems. Here is their link: https://www.live-plants.com/ 1 1 Quote Link to comment
banasophia
KP Aquatics is a great source I’ve ordered from several times… and although I haven’t ordered from Seahorse Savvy yet, they have a really nice selection of gorgonians and sponges as well. Purple ribbon and purple rod are nice… I think my fast grower is a grubes but not totally sure on the ID: Quote Link to comment

I will be ordering from both of those places when I set something up. I've heard nothing but good things about both. Quote Link to comment
Tired
Bottom right there is a shallow water rock flower anemone, which I'd bet is probably also from KP Aquatics. Shallow water RFAs don't fluoresce like deepwater ones do, and tend not to have colors anywhere near as bright, but they get larger and can be that nice sort of zebra-stripe pattern. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

growsomething
As tired said, an rfa, zebra or tuxedo pattern. Put itself in just the right spot to catch a lot of pellets and grew to almost 5". Quote Link to comment
