Not a ton to update on the tank. Fish are doing well and the hammers and Kenya tree seem to also be doing well.

I have been battling cyano in the tank for the last couple of weeks. It seems to be improving now. The sand is much less red than before and I am starting to see some green. Probably means I need to add a few more snails.

Here's a few recent shots of the tank. I haven't done much with it. I had to start dosing alk and cal a few weeks ago, but other than that I have been pretty hands off.

I added a seed pack of pods to the tank a few months ago and I haven't really seen a single pod. I have been adding live phyto daily/every other day. So I wonder if I got a dud batch or something.

The cyano on the sand is slowly going away and being replaced by green algae. I'm definitely going to need to pickup more snails and I might try and do that this weekend.

I do have a few aiptasia in the tank which I am going to try and kill this weekend when I do a water change. At some point I'd like to add something that would eat them.

Corals are doing well. Kenya tree is big and provides movement. Also a real favourite of anyone who stops by. Funny that the cheapest coral is the most talked about. 2 heads of the green hammer that kind of bleached and looked like they were going to die seem to be coming back. I'm seeing more extension and some colour returning.

Still waiting to see if/when we will be moving. We have an accepted offer on a house with subject to sale. So hopefully our current place sells before mid July!

Tank has been doing well. There is some algae growth on the sand and back wall and I have been trying to kill all the aiptasia.

Hammer corals are looking pretty good lately and as usual the Kenya tree is happy. Everyone really seems to like the Kenya tree!

I ordered some more snails today to try and help with the algae.

2 astrea

2 trochus

5 ceriths

1 Mexican turbo

I am getting low on alk for dosing. I have some ESV bionic alk and cal, but I think to switch over, I need to switch both alk and cal since it's 2 part. So that is something on my to do list.

Still in a bit of limbo for house sales. We have an accepted offer with subject to sale of our current place... So fingers crossed our current place sells.

It's very tempting to buy more corals for this tank, but then I know it's just more of a pain to move things later on.

Tank has been doing well lately. For the most part corals are happy. There is one mystery coral that is growing on the rocks. PXL_20230619_225102927.thumb.jpg.45bf8daa254c7d4a3f10a9a460ae9ed8.jpg

That's about the best photo I could get of it.

The snails I added took care of the algae in about a week. I now add a piece of nori to one of the rocks every few days.

Fish are doing well. They are fed pellets in the morning and frozen at night.

I'm still fighting with aiptasia. I kill them and then I see new ones in new places. If our place ever sells and we move, I'd like to get something to keep them under control.

Overall the tank is still mostly in holding pattern while we try and sell our townhouse.
