Best budget bar light to sit on rim

Hi there. Due to the position of my tank it would be highly difficult to mount a hanging light or one of those mounting arms (have tried some and it just isn't sturdy with the rim of my tank).

 

I only plan on growing soft corals and was wondering if anyone had suggestions of a good light to mount on the rim like the nicrew classic or the current usa light.

I was interested in the alie lights but I think those need to be hanged. 

 

EDIT:

 

The tank is a 27 gallon cube with sand the depth of the tank is probably close to 17 inches and the tank is 20 inches wide.

Lexan, not quite sure about "sturdy". Are you talking about the bracket or arm, not the glass? Hanging from the ceiling is not an option?

The bracket is what i was referring to and I have 11 foot tall ceilings so I was trying to avoid that.

Ok. Ceiling is not an option. I have built bracket from stock aluminum or stainless steel, even PVC. Have friends in the construction trade? Good luck.

Sorry for late reply. I may try that in the future but as of now I only have one coral which is leather and I am using a nicrew marine led 20 watt that seems sufficient. If I don't see grown or start seeing death I'll look into other options but for now I'm loving my low tech reef setup.

Honestly,budget wise a StevesLeds has a supplemental that is cheap. And you can customize the spectrum. Best spening $30-$40 less and getting a sub par light,no pun intended.
