Inspgadget
What kind of seaweed is this? Its growing super fast and is hard to remove. Which creature will eat this? Quote Link to comment
Tired
Looks like some type of caulerpa. Caulerpa is notorious for this sort of thing- wildly invasive stuff. A tuxedo or pincushion sea urchin should eat it without seriously damaging any corals. They will, however, wear pieces of it around, which doesn't help with eliminating it. You'll want to do a lot of manual removal, and back that up with an urchin. Or maybe a sea hare, if you can find someone to take the sea hare after it's eaten all the algae. (Do confirm that sea hares eat caulerpa. I don't actually know if they do.) 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Inspgadget
Thanks. My tank is too small for this creatures. I think i have to continue manually removeing it. Edit: if I Google caulerpa, i get a lot of types, but none i have in my tank Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
Its very close to Caulrpa prolifera. But the blades are shorter I've had this before but cant remember the exact name. It's far less common than prolifera. It's still a calurpa species with the same genral growth and all. Quote Link to comment

Make sure with your lfs that they will take it back when it's too big incase you can't find anyone wanting it. My store won't give a credit on living things, but will take it in. 1 Quote Link to comment
Tired
Tuxedo urchins can be purchased small, and they're quite popular. Your LFS may be willing to take it back, or you might be able to find someone nearby who has a larger tank and would like one eventually. Quote Link to comment
