Nuvo Fusion 10 gal Skimmer or uv sterilizer

I have a Nuvo Fusion 10 gallon and I want to make my filtration good because I do go 2 weeks without a water change at times. I have the custom caddy with filter floss first than chemi pure blue nano than sea chem matrix. I want to add more to that middle chamber and I was thinking what would be better, a protein skimmer or a uv sterilizer. I hear good and bad things about running a protein skimmer on such a small tank. I also think uv sterilizer are cool and don't really hear bad things about them besides not as effective on small tanks. What would you do or recomened to make my filtration better. Could I have both if they are hob . Any one has expernice with this, Thanks.

I run a protein skimmer on mine pulls out a good amount of gunk and I use the drop in UV sterilizer that IM makes. The skimmer I use is the IceCap K1 Nano. I also use a IceCap O2 scrubber.
