1st reef
I got a zoa on my gsp rock. I want to move the zoa onto another rock. How do I go about it? Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
I would get a tea spoon under it and peel it off. Glue it down to where you want it to go Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
Use gloves and a face shield they can contain toxins. 1 Quote Link to comment
1st reef
Maybe I'll just let nature take its course on this one lol Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
A single polyp won't do you any harm, don't rub it into you eye or chew it though... I have large colonies and move, cut and glue them around the tank often as they grow out.. no gloves, no mask.. That polyp will get smothered but if you want zoas you can buy standard ones cheap enough anyway. Quote Link to comment
Tired
That's probably not one of the toxic species. It's mostly palythoas (true palys, not just large zoas) that are toxic. Gloves are important when handling any corals or rockwork, though- there's bacterial concerns aside from coral toxicity. Got any bone cutters/wire cutters? You could chop that little bit of the rock off. Watch out for what looks like a feather duster below it, try not to cut into that. Nice color on that watchman's spots. Quote Link to comment
1st reef
I'm just going to get rid of the gsp. Tank is too small for something that spreads so uncontrollably quick. I agree.. Ywg looks awesome. Replacing the gsp with a hammer. 2 Quote Link to comment
