Suggest a coral

Ok, I am looking for recommendations for my 24 gallon mixed reef.

Currently in the tank

1 torch

1 florida ricordia

1 duncan

1 gsp

1 hammer

1 frogspawn

1 micro lord (can't see it in this pic)

1 hairy mushroom

1 monti cap

2 birdsnest

a few very small random zoas

and my latest addition, the pinstripe flower anemone, who made his way all the way to the top of the tank and seems to have made it his home.

I recently moved the ricordia down a little out of the flow, so now I have a prime spot where the blue circle is on the pic.  Looking for suggestions!

Tank is around 4 months old. Parameters stay level. I don't really want to get into a lot of dosing, so probably keep the monti and birdsnest as my only SPS.

What do you think I am missing? Feel free to suggest other additions, not just the missing blue circle. Should I add something to the sand?

You could do a fungia on the sand bed.

There's always zoas, and if they're proliferating fast just cash in extras for a quick buck.

Having lps in the tank will eventually lead to dosing. They use alk and ca as much as sps. Lps is a stony coral as well and requires stable alk.

Blasto's are great corals. Come in some stunning colors.

Fungia's are wonderful but need moderate flow, lower light, and sand placement.

How about some macroalgae? Halimeda or red branching bubble algae would add some good height.

If you have a lot of stony corals, either LPS or SPS, you'll probably need to dose eventually. If you only have a few, you might be able to keep parameters up with water changes. Keep in mind that you don't want to do too many water changes and drop the nutrients down too low, or you'll starve beneficial algae and corals alike.

I think that spot would do something tall and with movement.

I'd add long polyp toadstool or other soft coral (finger leather, kenya tree)

toadstool was high on my list. Good suggestion!

Thanks. Right now I change about 10% every 7-10 days

If you source a long tentacle toadstool, please tag me as I'd like to pick one up too.
