Maybe a snail

Try removing it and examine

If it doesn't move from the rock, inflates and deflates, it's probably a type of sponge.

Kind of looks like a pineapple sponge to me.

It looks like a pineapple sponge. Harmless, and a sign of a healthy reef tank.

Hard to be sure from the pic, but it looks like some sort of sponge. Pineapple sponge could be right. Harmless unless it turns out to be a fast-growing type, and if it is fast-growing, it's easy to peel out. Leave it in unless it starts spreading a ton.
