Hi,

DIAGNOSED: Power supply issue. Can’t reach over 15w of power use.

My Ai hydra 26 hd doesn't want to turn on. When I enable the schedule mode on my phone the light turns on for a split second then goes offline for around a minute then is able to connect but has the same result as before. I have contacted AI and they told me to reboot it which I did and still having no success. Please help.

Flashing blue means it's set up as a child light. Do you have another light as the parent? Did you buy it used? If so, it sounds like you'll need to do a hard reset on it to wipe its settings and can set up your own.

No it’s a parent, I bought it used but it’s previous owner was removed and I had it working completely fine for 2 weeks.

Sorry I didn’t mean blue I meant teal.

Did you try a factory reset (this will mean you'll need to reprogram it)?

No but I believe there is a problem with the power supply, I have noticed that when I turn the light on, the power supply’s light flickers on and off

That would make sense as to why it doesn't ever finish booting up (the pulsing teal light indicates it's booting up).

Well I have contacted AI about it as I’m not interested in paying £50 for a power supply

I have diagnosed it for certain, the power supply is at fault, the light works at <15watts but anything over that stops the light and causes a reboot

Sorry to hear that you've got a bad power supply. At least now you know.

Yea, am very thankful that it’s not the actual light, I bought it second hand but if anyone has this don’t push the light too hard if you want to get the life out of it
