FISHnChix
Ok so I need some help reefers. A few weeks ago I bought a yellow eyed kole tang .about 2 days later it broke out with what looks like ich.. I couldnt catch him to treat so I did the best I could do and fed heavily and ran a UV.. tang seemed to be doing way better had no white spots , eating great, and swiming around acting normal. Fast forward a couple weeks and I find him dead overnight with a little gash in his side.. was pretty bummed but didnt think anything about it.. then last night I saw my royal gramma still alive but had the same cut on his side!!! Any ideas on what it could be?? Maybe n@Humblefish could chime in too😁 Thanks guys! 1 Quote Link to comment
Humblefish
Assuming there are no critters (e.g. rogue crab) doing this... Could be a secondary bacterial infection: https://www.nano-reef.com/forums/topic/407685-bacterial-infections/ Or possibly even Uronema: https://www.nano-reef.com/forums/topic/402464-uronema-fish-disease-information/ 1 Quote Link to comment
