hoodle
I'm looking to start a Pacific Northwest biotope and was wondering if anyone sells live rock from California/Oregon/Washington/BC? Quote Link to comment

I don't believe anyone does... and there are definitely some laws about collecting things but also some loopholes. You may be able to get some rock by buying anemones attached to it. I would contact Matsu. http://www.matsucollections.com/home.html Quote Link to comment

Matteo
You can get a license to grab items from tide pools and such. Limited but you are allowed. I too have thought about setting up a cold water tide pool tank, only problem is keeping water cool in summer time. For rock just grab normal reef saver, add sand from coast and any other smaller rocks/wood you want. The wood will need to be severely water logged before being in a tank. Quote Link to comment
