I know starfish are not native to Lake Michigan so I am mainly curious on the species of this creature and how it might possibly came here. Thanks a lot! p.s. the square represents a square inch. Oldsalt01 Posted April 4, 2019 Share Posted April 4, 2019 It probably came in on a foriegn vessel in their bilge/ballast tanks. They flush them when they get into fresh water. That’s how zebra mussels got into the Great Lakes. Fortunately, stars don’t do well in fresh water, unlike the mussels Quote Link to comment
