Well turned up this morning and both seems to have taken a tentative hold on the underside/crags of this rock. I think just watch them, gently baste the area and let them do their thing. I tried to lower the light level but then everything else looked terrible....... might have a shuffle around see if I can make some more shade for them. I do have that flat mushroom shelf rock and the eggcrate racks 1 Quote Link to comment
Ratvan
Well the Ultra Toxic Green has turned to a brown slime (that I have removed) and a tiny Oral Disc Lava Lamp not looking too good either It's on a small piece of Live Rock Rubble.... don't think it will make it. 🤷♂️ But it is not too bad. Spotted a Baby Ricordea that wasn't there yesterday. Will be interesting to see which one it is Also this strange Red Algae? Yes and another glowing "nodule" 1 2 Quote Link to comment
Ratvan
No real change for anything in the Pico today. The Oral Disc is "tumbleweeding" around the bare bottom with my hermit crab clacking in hot pursuit. That was rather funny. However I have managed to arrange a couple of trades/purchases from fellow reefers here in the UK, will see how they post Corals and I can start joining in, First is a Blue Disco, being charged £6 including postage for 1 head Will see how this arrives and utilise the same postage method for the swaps on the below, both will receive a Green Yuma in return. As well as a couple of volunteers here later on Wary of the colours on this due to the seller having T5's and MH And this one, I hope looks at least somewhat similar 4 Quote Link to comment
Wingy
You can try putting some rubble in a shallow plastic container to see if the mushroom will reattach. If it is being blown around it may have gone walkabout to find a place with less flow. 3 Quote Link to comment
debbeach13
Those new mushrooms look so pretty. I hope your happy with them. It's great you found some reefers to trade with. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Fw section was open but 🤷♂️. Might pull a rock from the 5.5g and make some rubble myself 2 Quote Link to comment
Ratvan
First posted trade arrived this morning. Good to see that my idea of posting corals works. Photo of arrival (after taking off bubble wrap) and after dipping and mounting. There was a small amount of rock rubble on the feet. Blue Disco with Purple Sheen 7 Quote Link to comment
Ratvan
Well the sea was a little too rough, the wind picked up fast and the rain rolled in. Beautiful British Summers Day. To get to a decent rockpool was not going to happen so went for a walk along the shingle. 8 1 Quote Link to comment
Tempestas
I thought British weather is just slow gloom and drizzles, not actual storms rolling in. Dig that red macro 1 Quote Link to comment

Dig that red macro Very very rarely our grey and wet does something dramatic, Very rarely, otherwise grey, dingy and moist 👍 I would have taken some of that Macro home but all of it was so brittle. I did manage a bit of deer stalking Yesterday (Sunday), only bagged a couple of Muntjac 1 Quote Link to comment

Well In other news I thought I would compare growth on my Aiptasia that's been sat in a coffee jar. 24th May: The Day before Isolation. 2mm across and about the same tall Today (25th July) Fully extended 60mm wide and roughly same wide (1.5-2") It is still really pretty under blues. I have nothing switched on at the minute (all lights, heaters, pumps etc off) as tank sat at 30C/86F inside office temp is 35c/95F 3 1 2 Quote Link to comment

I emptied the tank totally and did a full water change, rock scrub and detritus removal. Definitely not here anymore. I think he managed to jump out where I forgot to cover the gaps for the cables on my condensation tray (trying to cut down evap) 1 minute ago, DSFIRSTSLTWATER said: Holyshit! I think he managed to jump out the one spot that I didn't think he could fit through. I never did find him. I'm considering getting another one for the new tank. I'm actually looking for screen tops. As much as I love the topless side of this tank, I don't need my cat fishing or having a fish jump. 1 Quote Link to comment

I would love a tailspot, they have one that is really skinny looking at my LFS that I keep debating picking up and seeing if I can fatten it up in the office cube...... Although currently no more fish until weather cools down, also want to look at chillers to put on my Xmas list lol 3 Quote Link to comment

Wonderboy
Nope, I wouldn't do it - like mentioned, it really sounds like it's been close to too long to reverse it. If it is parasites, you don't need those in your tank either - unless you have medications ready. I don't want to sound harsh, but it might not even be an option by the time your temps become stable. Good job keeping temps down during the day with the ice - that is hard with such a small tank. 1 Quote Link to comment
