The idea was going for a green approach with all natural filtration and no bell and whistles (media reactors, skimmer, etc). Here we have a 4" filter sock, Marinepure block, Miracle Mud, live rocks, chaetomorpha, filer floss, carbon and purigen. The sump was DIY built with an Aqueon 20g long glass tank with OBD Deluxe Reef-Reactive Sump Kit, Hang-on 4" Filter Sock Holder, Custom Mud Tray, and an optional Tubing Holder. There may be more than one good reasons to buy a pre-built sump but there are just as many to build your own that suit your specific needs! Here is to DIY and Happy Reef Keeping! ??
