Just keep corals that dont need as much lighting on the sides. in person does your tank look a lot bluer? It does have a little more of bluish look, but the pictures are pretty accurate as to how it looks. how dark are the sides? Its really going to depend on your rock work. You dont want to stack to much rock at the top, because it will create tons of shade at the bottom. took me awhile but the sides of my tank get plenty of light. how far is the metal halide from the water? about 9" Hope this helps Link to comment
