dormreefer
Fusion 20 owner here. Had my tank since the first shipment and absolutely love it. I get so many more compliments on the look than my old BioCube. That said I'm not impressed with the skimmer, micro bubble madness. Link to comment

I decided on the 10 instead of the 20 since I'm going to have to move this tank at some point. I figured this would be much easier, so I axed the skimmer from the plans anyway! moores38
Good decision, I dread having to move my tank sometime later this year That's why I'm going with the Zoas instead of the SPS too, much more hardy and can tolerate large parameter fluctuations when compared to SPS! It's really not that bad. I moved two tanks in college, planning is the most important thing. I think Mr. Saltwater, if I recall his name correctly, has a guide on moving tanks, that might be worth it.... On a different note, made a few orders today! Waiting on the after Christmas sales for the rest! -InTank -BRS Link to comment
moores38
Merry (early) Christmas to me! My stomach is still turning after dropping that amount of cash, hopefully I feel better once it all gets here. Link to comment

moores38
Got everything from BRS and InTank! Did some preliminary aquascaping, and I think I've settled on a final setup. BRS gave me some really great pieces to work with. My goal was to create natural voids throughout, have the rockwork free and clear of the sides and rear wall, and leave plenty of open sand. I'll give it a week before I cement it in place, I'm indecisive, but I'm pretty happy with it at the moment! It's hard to see in this picture, but the bottom front right piece is quite large and has a cool peninsula that sticks out towards the front right corner. Please let me know your thoughts! The bottom egg crate is a little smaller than 11x11 and the rear is approximately 13 high. Pretty of space for my spin stream on the side and overflow on the other. Link to comment

reefernanoman
Could not hold out any longer, got a full Apex coming and a IM Ghost Skimmer! :) Just give the skimmer a good vinegar bath before you put it in your tank. This will greatly reduce the break in period and micro bubbles. Link to comment

da1001
That usually means they aren't using that piece of equipment anymore. Wonder what happened with it all....updates moore? Link to comment
Cameron6796
Well I've been here for two years I've figured out what that usually means but this thread isn't very old and in his latest post he said he's waiting for some stuff to arrive so I assume that it is just not in commission yet Link to comment
moores38
BOXESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! STUFFF!!!!!!!!! EMPTY TANKKKKKK FIRST FTS 12/30/14 Gotta step up my photo game, but all I have is an iPhone 6. These photos are not even close to real life. If any photo guru's stop by, please please please give me some of your wisdom! Initial report is all equipment is installed and running with the exception of two things. I haven't received my Apex, and I'm leaving my skimmer off for a week or so while I dose with MicroBacter7 (also holding off on using Chemi-Pure). Once I get my Apex and do some wire management I'll give you folks a picture of the stand. The Kessil is beautiful and gives an awesome shimmer! Also super happy I sprung for the larger grain sand, looks so much better IMO, and it stays put! I'm pretty happy with everything, but a couple things will be changing/are on my to do list. Upgrade return pump - I have a Cobalt MJ1200 laying around that I'm going to swap with the stock return, even on the max setting it doesn't have enough juice to power my spinstream, in theory my spin stream could be malfunctioning too. Shim the stand - It's probably the floors in the apartment complex, but the system is not quite level and its driving me nuts. Used some furniture sliders I had laying around, worked perfect! ATO Container - I need to pick up an ATO container, my original plan did not work out. Install the Apex/cable management. Thats really it for now, in the meantime, I'm completing my to-do-list, wait for the tank to clear/cycle, and sit tight! Thanks for following along! -SM Why are all the items crossed on on the first post That usually means they aren't using that piece of equipment anymore. Well I've been here for two years I've figured out what that usually means but this thread isn't very old and in his latest post he said he's waiting for some stuff to arrive so I assume that it is just not in commission yet You're both correct, that is what it usually means, however in my case I was using it to keep track of what I have left to purchase. You two make a valid point so I changed my system to fit in with the norm! Link to comment
da1001
Great update man!! Why did you mark off the IM10 in your initial build thread though? That sure likes like an IM10 to me. Edit: I missed your last sentence explaining this LOL. As for your question about the iphone, I think I saw a week or two back where one of our fellow reefers (jeremycee?) here went to his local photography store and picked up a cheap little piece of red (maybe yellow?) photography plastic and he covered the camera portion of his iPhone and it fixes the white balance issues...worth a shot? Yes to the stock pump upgrade. Yes to the stand shimming. Im still trying to find my ATO container (stand dimension constraints). It will show up at walmart eventually lol. Apex like a baws. Wish I could afford one. Im dumping all my spare cash to a decent camera and lenses haha. Keep them pics coming, man. Link to comment
