CrazyEyes
The irony is, just a couple days ago I was thinking about building a new sump for it, then went nah. I think my sump heard me and was like oh yeah f*cker, well now you have to. Link to comment
Horerczy
Not a very well thought out plan by your sump. Not really useful if it can't hold water. Link to comment
CrazyEyes
Nope. It'll be in the trash soon. Link to comment
Horerczy
pity it was such a nice looking sump. Link to comment
CrazyEyes
It was okay looking. There was a little miss alignment between the two sumps. I believe the main sump was warped a bit so the new one never sat against it properly. Link to comment
jedimasterben
I can't find any pics of how you had the two connected. Did you use flexPVC? Link to comment
CrazyEyes
No connected via two bulkheads which are siliconed in place and the two sumps are also fixed together with weld on 4. Link to comment
CrazyEyes
Ordered the acrylic, shit definitely wasn't cheap. $170 for a 8'x4' sheet of 1/4" clear cell cast. Sump will be 36x16x16. Link to comment
jedimasterben
http://reefbuilders.com/2014/11/14/build-blue-collar-dreambox-custom-aquariums-seamless-sumps/ Totally should do something like that, but when you connect them use FlexPVC Link to comment
CrazyEyes
Those are pretty neat. I swear my next tank, I don't care if it's the same size tank, will be sitting on a huge stand with a huge polypropylene sump. Link to comment
