Sully375
Well its been 5 days since adding the fish and 20 days since water was first added. Slowly getting all the readings for Mg, KH, Ca to level out. PH was low hitting the high 7's but mainly around 8.05. Added Seachem eight.four on the recommendation of my LFS and after about 4 days I'm sitting at 8.11 doing one more half dose today and will give it a couple days to see if the tank will start to maintain in its own. Honestly I mixed my Salinity for a shorter time before the last water change and I believe that had a positive impact. I had been mixing for 24 hours but I think I will stick with 8 for the next change. Fish are doing great, lost one hermit and one snail. I believe the snail was murdered for his shell given that one of the Hermits is now sporting it. Added a couple empty shells to prevent any more homicides, the electric blue inspected one for what had to be two hours last night and then decided to move in. Another also switched. I added the Tunze 9001, running FF, Carbon, and Purigen in one CustomCaddy and running PhosGuard in the minimax reactor. Algae seems to be slowly dissipating, I was seeing a steady increase that the CUC was keeping under control and then with the phosguard I saw a decline. Also started a refugium with Chaeto in the other CustomCaddy with a reverse lighting schedule which could be helping. I've been feeding the fish twice a day, 3-4 drops of mysis from a bottle in the morning and then a few flakes in the evening, hope that isn't too much. I make sure they get it all within 3 minutes. Only issue I've had is with PO4 and the Red Sea test kit. I can't read this thing for anything. The colors don't seem to match what I'm seeing and even the colors on the disk and the card don't match that well. Ordered a Hanna HI736 today so I will see how that does. I would guess that it isn't that bad considering the algae is staying in check. Cameron6796
This is very nice, your lucky to have such a dedicated water mixing area idek how I would do that. Also is your rodi attached to turn off via float switch. How does that even work. Link to comment
Sully375
Moved to just one MP10, it's plenty for the 30L. Had one MP10 that is being replaced by ecotech because the thing has had a rattle/grind that hasn't stopped in two weeks. The other is pretty silent. So I removed the loud one and decided I liked the flow and overall look of the tank with just the one. Link to comment
Sully375
This is very nice, your lucky to have such a dedicated water mixing area idek how I would do that. Also is your rodi attached to turn off via float switch. How does that even work. Yeah, I was able to carve out a nice little area after I donated a rolling tool chest to my father-in-law. The floats stop the flow of water into the tank and the pressure switch on the RODI system shut off the water when the back pressure builds up. I'm about to add the auto-flush system to it this weekend so I won't have to mess with anything on this system except filter changes. Link to comment

Sully375
Finally got my Foscam streaming correctly, what a pain and in the end it was super simple. These directions in the manual make it seem so hard. https://flic.kr/p/oXWGdB'>https://flic.kr/p/oXWGdB'>Untitled by https://www.flickr.com/people/126085680@N06/'>ryan.saalman, on Flickr Also switched from manual program to Fusion for Radions and Vortech. https://flic.kr/p/oFs8KY'>https://flic.kr/p/oFs8KY'>Untitled by https://www.flickr.com/people/126085680@N06/'>ryan.saalman, on Flickr https://flic.kr/p/oFsmuJ'>https://flic.kr/p/oFsmuJ'>Untitled by https://www.flickr.com/people/126085680@N06/'>ryan.saalman, on Flickr Link to comment
Island
Looks great. Can you post a pic of how you mounted the foscam? I'm about to cycle my tank in a few days. I have the apex as well. Any tips on how you set up your parameters? I would like to use ato setting for leak detection or settings for temp monitoring. Link to comment

Sully375
Maybe Euphyllia paraglabrescens? LOL, I'm sure they are the same. I think the way I did it fits the tank and still gives plenty of room for corals and critters. Still gotta do your lid mod to mine, I hate this top and haven't put it on in a week but when I add some more fish it's gonna have to go back on. Link to comment

Island
Hey rsaalman-Could you provide any help or input on the steps you went through to get your 9001 dialed in? I have had this skimmer for almost 2 weeks, and no matter what orientation I put the inlets in, or how high or low I position the skimmer, I still get constant micro bubbles and a fast cup fill. I contacted Roger from Tunze USA who stated the issue was perhaps the return pump needs to be dialed back as that it is probably causing a lot of the issues and also that this skimmer has to be in the same chamber as the return. Any help you could give would be appreciated Link to comment

Any help you could give would be appreciated Sorry just saw this. My 9001 is in the main center chamber as that is the only spot it would fit. I had already changed out the return pump from the stock to a less powerful marineland 900 because the returns were moving my sand in the main tank too much. I also turned the pump on the tunze to where it faces that cup on it. I had bubbles until I did this. Link to comment
