Just wanted to formally announce that myself and a good friend are 100% permitted and licensed to collect coldwater/temperate water fish and invertebrates from the Northeast Pacific off the Oregon coast.

We will be doing business as Coldwater Marine Aquatics, if you get a chance say hi and check us out on Facebook HERE and give us a like :)

Its been a long time coming, actually over a year of working with ODFW, and I wanted to say thank you to everyone here on Nano-Reef, especially those involved in the Biotopes forum.

One of the main things people always bring up when I tell them about trying to collect and provide coldwater livestock is that there is no one offering an affordable system to house the animals.

Well that all changed just recently with the introduction of Micro-Reefs temperate pico tank.

I'm heading out collecting tomorrow specifically to find Mike some nice anemones and pico friendly livestock for his existing system.

Anyways, I thought you all might like to know what we are collecting out here so below is our current species list.

Thats just the list of things that are more readily accessible, I have a huge list of all the species I am able to collect.

I will for sure post up pics of what I bring home tomorrow :D

If anyone needs picture reference on any of the species listed let me know, I have a lot of photos just sitting on photobucket already.

Just one word pops in mind, amazing!!!

I just googled most of the names you listed and fish like the grunt sculpin and that lumpsucker are probably the most cute and freakishly looking fishes I've ever seen! I believe Mike has one of your fluffy sculpins? that fish looks really nice too!

And who could resist the look of those stubby squids! will you be making caresheets or maybe a few rules of thumb regarding what those critters need? I can imagine that keeping those squids in a small aquarium would be really difficult...

Really looking forward to seeing more!
