naughty
heya, thought i'd do a little update since the light change... first of all, my dad made me a lovely pair of specially cut to size metal plates with holes in the right places for my new panorama pros, my lights went from looking like this: to looking like this world of a difference right??! still gotta figure out how to make the fans work with what i have though... oh well, that'll be on the list of improvement projects, right now the temp still fluctuates 78-80, which is at least better than the 82 of the previous pc's. also, i tried to capture my anemone's awesome transformation, though atm it's in the top left corner of the tank hugging the pump, it has definitely been moving a lot but i really don't like it there, so i changed up the rocks to where it can easily climb down them and am trying to move it over slowly with the magfloat... here's what it looked like immediately after i put the new lights in (and for most of the time i had it): already there are signs of change after 1 day: 5 days: 7 days before it decided to move: 7 days two hours into the move: 7 days 20 hours into the move: 19 days, so pretty. wish it didn't move from that spot... but i'm sure it will settle again soon Link to comment

naughty
Phew, well there's a lot that's happened to this tank since 2012.... But I think the most significant is that it almost crashed very recently, as the pumps were left off for two days when I took the lights away to repair them. I believe everything survived, though I haven't seen my serpent starfish around. The livestock count in the tank is now: - 2 rbta - started out all deflated, but filled up overnight - 1 flower anemone - doing fine as always, that thing is so hardy - 3-4 pink monti pieces (since I broke it into a bunch when moving it...) - dying orange sps branch... bad luck with this guy, I should've taken more care of it. - brown somewhat large polyp gorgonian...? - beige branch gorgonian - female orange clownfish - male black clownfish - 1-3 blue hermit crabs - 1-3 porcelain crabs - 1-3 pistol shrimp - 1 serpent starfish, MIA - a new colony of baby turbos - 2-4 old big turbos - 1 decorator urchin - frightening purple blotches of cyano.... Also I've changed the lights out yet again, my dad was sweet enough to strip the old crappy panorama pros down and solder some leds on there, I will post pictures as soon as this nightmare is over!
